PSP UMD MOVIE Dumps [b]

Post by tossEAC » 13 Mar 2015 13:55

High everyone, I am tossEAC.

I dumped some UMD Movies quite a long time ago from my own original discs which I still have.

I noticed none of them were available as scene releases so I uploaded them to usenet, under my nick name of tossEAC.

I also noticed a while ago they ended up in the no-intro dats, cool :)

The other day I was asked to collect together the no-intro UMD Movie releases so I could share them on a torrent site. The problem was I noticed some of my very early dumps had also made it into the dat, but most of them were marked as being bad dumps.

Basically I still have these discs and I am willing to make good dumps, and share the correct hashes for all my dumps marked as bad, I'm also willing to share some new dumps, UMD Movies are a bit of a taboo subject, most people don't want to touch them normally, so dumping them for the no intro dats, would be a welcome change.

I am pretty experienced when it comes to dumping, and I would never fake a dump, if I own it I'll dump it, if I don't I wont.

So how can I be put to good use, well before any new dumps I would like to know how I can go about fixing my bad dumps.

What program do you like to use to dump UMD Movies. Bear in mind their are two types Encrypted and Non Encrypted, the Non Encrypted discs should probably be dumped with PSP filer, and the Encrypted discs should probably be dumped using the latest 6.60 Pro CFW over USB as this is the only way that dumps Encrypted Discs without missing the last sector of the disc.

Then when they are dumped, its probably worth doing a second verification dump, and finally I guess I need to collect the hashes and post them some were.

That's about all I can think of for now, I'll sit back and wait for a bit of feedback, thanks :)

Heres one Example.

"LA Blue Girl Returns (Europe) .iso"
size 1686861824
crc DA35F0F0
md5 A4DAB2F3C144345AD99904E690E3A5A0
sha1 28E39B4999DFDE7BB328D83DD89685B6977364E2
flags baddump

"LA Blue Girl Returns (Europe) [good dump].iso"
size 1686863872
crc 574a8444
md5 7d01d379ac7a14c52c10623c829f9abe
sha1 1ca1c869aae6edbb30a0e419701138f3b274b3c1

The good dump was dumped using the latest 6.60 Pro CFW.

I compared the old dump and the new and they were the same until were the data cut out early on the bad dump, also the missing sector contained actual data meaning this last sector wasn't blank and couldn't be fixed just by adding one blank sector to the end of the iso.

For other isos that are marked bad I can redump them, and give you the hashes and patches if needed.

That would be great. Redumping bad dumps is always good.

Hi tossEAC!
It's good to hear from you.
Thank you for your dumps. I added them to the database and while doing them, checked their sizes, and marked those as bad dumps where the last sector(s) were missing.
If you could redump them, that'd be great. I'm not sure which tools are best for that since I haven't dumped UMD movies myself yet.

All my bad dumps re-dumped. All of these discs were missing the last sector. 1 Blank sector could have been added to the end of the iso and that would have fixed them the same, I chose to redump, I checked, none of the data in the bad dump differed to the good dump, only the missing sector was the difference. Dumped with 6.60 pro cfw, over usb. La Blue Girl was the only exception, that actually had data in the last sector.
