Media table will not only contain "gaming data", but you will be able to rename/add/delete fields.

Only now I realize there may be a tiny complication about "verified" flags: we may have for example "hash1" verified but "hash2" not verified.

I don't know how you could check or automate it,

but things like N64 in various 'endien', would automatically carry over verified tags because you are simply running a tool to byteswap, etc.

The same could be true for any 'future' dats like Wii ISO.DEC - decrypting a Redump dump is still verified, as would be trimmed Switch (which people are now asking for).

Both "Trusted dumps" and "Trusted verifications" (like applying a tool on a trusted dump) will be used to count "Verified dumps".

Simply checking a ROM with a tool shouldn't count as verifying it.

Add verified status to search list

Post by zzzzz » 26 Jul 2018 21:29

The present status is that if I were to search "mario", I would see a ton of mario games but I would have to click on the game itself to know if it's been verified.
In order to make it easier for those with collections searching for games to verify and to encourage others to verify games I would like to request that DOM somehow add whether it's verified or not to the list of games returned by search.
