NES Rom MD5 Mismatch

Post by cl04ker » 18 Oct 2017 17:13

I have downloaded quite a few different ROM collections including what I believe to be the No-Intro set for the Nintendo Entertainment System. I have compared md5s against the dat file downloaded from dat-o-matic however nothing seems to match up. I cannot seem to find the correct rooms that match the md5s in the dat file. I have been searching for weeks and I am starting to think that dat-o-metic could be wrong. Is this possible? I have had much success with other systems like SNES, Megadrive etc.. so I am familiar with the process and what it should look like when things match up. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The hashes in the DAT are of the ROMs without headers. All NES ROMs have a 16 byte header, which you can tell most ROM managers to ignore. This is likely your problem.
