If you have found a mistake in the filenames of the following dats:
- "Nintendo Super Famicom/SNES"
- "Nintendo Game Boy (Color)"
- "SNK Neo Geo Pocket (Color)"

please post name changes/fix here.

Forgive me for sticking my nose in again where I have little expertise, but IMO it reads more like:
"Super Mario Bros. 4 - Super Mario World"
...thus...
Super Mario Bros. 4 - Super Mario World (J)

Yes that's pretty right

another one:
Super Tetris 2 + Bombliss - Genteiban (J)
Super Tetris 2 + Bombliss Genteiban (J)

Correct me if I'm wrong but Genteiban = limited edition. This is not a subtitle.

i thought it means something like demo, but it could well be limited edition

anyway, please share the correct translation once you'll find out :)

it does mean limited edition :o
try to not spam in the contribution forum

another one for the snes dat
Super Mario - Yossy Island (J) (v1.x)
Super Mario - Yoshi Island (J) (v1.x)

I know you took it from the game header, but the cover uses the katakana for "shi". There is no such thing as "-ssy" in japan. Is just a typo in the header that got corrected in ulterior yoshi's games.

i didn't want to spam your thread! it was only that i already posted about the meaning of genteiban in another section of this forum and, if you were so sure, your contribution on its meaning would have solved the question...

with no answers on the other thread, i followed the translation of an import games shop that used 'demo version' to translate a 'limited edition' of a saturn game (their mistake)

but please, next time don't use expressions like "Correct me if I'm wrong" if you don't want people to post in your thread ;)

p.s. anyway thanks A LOT for all the work you're doing on redumping games! :)

Also I suggest you change '94 '95 & '96 to 94, 95 & 96 because none of the Super Formation Soccer games have a ' in the box or title screen

Daisenryaku Expert (J)
Great Strategy Expert - Daisenryaku Expert (J)

Yokoyama Mitsuteru means Yokoyama Era, and Sangokushi is a character.
The title is Sangoku of the Yokoyama Era, 'Sangokushi' isn't a subtitle

Such misuse of hyphens is very common in the SNES dat
It needs to be rechecked entirely for a thoughtful use of hyphens.

In game stuff has always listed Megaman, but the box is always Mega Man and should be titled with the space.

(The Japanese always list Rockman as one word.)

Yes, I guess the hyphens should be removed.

However Yokoyama Mitsuteru is the name of the manga author of Sangokushi (Romance of the Three Kingdoms). The games are based on the Anime Yokoyama Mitsuteru Sangokushi. :P
