Thank you for clarifying this. I didn't notice the codes had been wrong. Indeed since the "The Chessmaster" releases all match serial wise we don't really need them. What added to the confusion is also the fact that only the Japanese "New Chessmaster" release shows the "New" in the title screen while the other releases leave it to The Chessmaster.

The New Chessmaster (USA) published by Hi-Tech (DMG-N5-USA, -FAH etc.) [Rom DMG-N5E-0]
This should be (USA, Europe). The FAH cart is the European release.

This place is not the best place to post about SMD games ))
Anyway thanks for valuable info!

Added regional info to appropriate games.

Luckily I haven't sold this cart yet so I can redump it once I stumble upon the cart again ;)
Any chance you will stumble upon this soon?

Game Boy Wars 2 (Japan) (Alt 1) (SGB Enhanced) (GB Compatible)
Game Boy Wars 2 (Japan) (SGB Enhanced) (GB Compatible)
Seems to be the same 4 MiBit game data supposedly burned to 8 MiBit ROM chips with different padding bytes - one being filled with 00, one with FF. It's possible this really happened, but the (Alt1) is a scene release. As long as no one else verifies the 00 padded dump I wouldn't want to keep this in the dat. It's arguable anyway if in such cases we should use the whole chip "data" or only the game data itself.
Absolutely agree with that!

I moved scene release to main Parent record as a Bad and removed (Alt 1) record from DoM at all.
Now we have pretty cool view for Game Boy Wars 2 game (http://datomatic.no-intro.org/index.php ... =47&n=0383) ))

Is Game Boy Wars 2 a GBC game? From what I understand, Nintendo demanded a minimum 8-megabit cart size so smaller games had to pad it. But I suppose the question here is simply which padding is correct.
(the most extreme example I know of is Pong: The Next Level which was as required, 8 megabit, but could've fit into 1 megabit easily (I recall barely over 64KB of the space was actually used)
