The missing version of famicom Pac-Man comes from this release

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/819/pacmanst.jpg/

The normal one uses a small box. If anyone has more info about this special release please share it :)

it's also seen in this Pac-Man "museum"

http://yamazawa.sakura.ne.jp/weblog1/20 ... t-137.html

and can be bought here for instance saying "resale version"

Thanks for the update. I have the 2in1 Cosmic Spacehead/Fantastic Dizzy and Hook for Megadrive, but can't get my dumper to work (yet).

Good news - I hope you can solve the issues somehow.

In other news:

Monsters, Inc. (UKV) - v1.0 has *possibly* been found. A cart with just "11" stamped on it (in contrary to 08A or 11A in all carts seen so far) was discovered and purchased by a very kind person. It still needs to be opened or dumped to verify this of course.

I just don't want to be too optimistic because I once got a Hyper Lode Runner which looks like it just has 05 stamped on it but it still is v1.1. There might be a very faint A on it but hard to say. Looks more like scratches at first glance. I need to find another one with definitely just numbers to verify this IF indeed there never was a 1.0.

I just realized the game "Soccer" uses the ROM id DMG-YKY

This is confirmed for the -UKV cart

http://retroden.co.uk/GBx/GBx_S_c36b199b_UKV-1.html

and the -EUR one

http://passat.neostrada.pl/zabikt/GB.txt

Now this implies there is a missing X version. I stumbled about -NOE and -FAH releases but since the dump is multi 3 with french, english and german I don't see why these should be different though it is possible. But I found there is at least an -ITA copy and an -ESP-1. Later spain appears to have received the -EUR edition for some reason.

I found a thread from last year on Nintendoage where someone dumped and releases Punch Out Gold. The dump floating around didn't match the hash provided by enri on his homepage http://www2.odn.ne.jp/~haf09260/Rpdata/Rpdata.htm but it was not clear whether he included the header into the calculation as he did with Gradius Archimendes Hen which could have been an explanation for the difference. Now I got my hands on the dump posted here and it was a direct match of the data we already have - except for a heaser setting.

This means we finally got a confirmation for this rare game and the case is solved :) Removed from the list.

I also received info regarding Operation C (Konami release) for the GB mono from an owner:
I took a look at the cart, and unfortunately, I can only make out '1 1' etched into it. No 'A' possibly denoting a revision. Also, when the game boots, it comes up 'Ultra' and the title screen reads 'Konami', both which are pretty standard.
No revision here

OTOH, I was unable to find auctions of the following ones :(

Code: Select all

- Army Men 2 (Euro)
- Bugs Bunny et le chateau des catastrophes (France)

finally, I was wondering about the following entries of the list: bust-a-move 4, croc, nascar 2000, pokemon crystal & star wars episode I racer. are they listed because current USA+Euro images are not confirmed to be found on a Euro cart?

Thanks

p.s. is the Singer Sewing Machine cart still listed because of lack of updates, or there is still another missing Sewing cart?

I own these, Shaun Palmer is B3SP-AUS, the others are not currently at my place to check.

Thanks for your research! In any case where it's unclear whether the european version was really dumped it is added to the list.

Those have been purchased:

ISS 99
Bugs Bunny et le chateau des catastrophes (France)

I will update the list soon. hydr0x found another cart it seems - Bionic Commando (Australia).
