I'll add that I'm VERY interested in a Crack Down PAL redump. Not a priority, but anyone who has it, please dump it.

I've got that game from Australia and didn't have time to dump it, yet.

Which means at 99% that is a USA one.

Australia got PAL releases, not NTSC ones, didn't it?

The dump currently labelled as (USA, Europe) is by Sage's Creation, as visible on titlescreen, which were involved only with the USA release of Crack Down, not with the PAL release AFAIK. I think it's more probable for PAL Crack Down to match one of the 2 Japanese dumps, which are already confirmed as real:

538AAA5D -> confirmed by Xacrow to be from a Japanese cart
D012A47A -> confirmed by Mame to be Rev A, but since Mega-Tech carts have no apparent region we don't know if this CRC is found on Japanese carts only or in PAL ones too.

To stop assumptions we neeed a dump of a PAL Crack Down. Michal, if you have time, try dumping it.

which leaves the question of whether there's an "rev 0" PAL cart out there...

Thank you Michal.

Almost surely 538AAA5D is Rev 0 for both Europe and Japan, exactly like Bonanza Bros.:
(Japan, Europe)
(Japan, Europe) (Rev A)
(USA)

Another game which needs a bit of research is Gain Ground, both region-wise and revision-wise.

Does anyone happen to have a Gain Ground cart?

michal, do you dump MD with an EEPROM reader? TheGuru told us long ago the direct reads he did from genesis carts were byteswapped. If so I'm pretty confused on this matter.

I did few test dumps and yes they are if I remember right. I did discuse that with Elbarto, but I would have to look what whas the result, tho.

Yeah of course MD games are byteswapped. Like all the rom from a big endian system (Neo-Geo for example).
The thing is changed that now is impossible as all emulators are waiting for byteswapped roms.
But this isnot really a problem as we can byteswapped them at any moment.
