Cybermorph (1 Meg) is undumped, both GORF's and Protector Special Edition can be counted as homebrew according to:

Virtual Light Machine is a CD title, dumped and should be removed from the list (no cart version, i guess?)

Automerged Doublepost.

Few more comments from the page mentioned above: GORF Classic, JagMIND: Bomb Squad are undumped and should be added to the list, Space War 2000 has 2 different versions - prototype and reproduction.

Hello, this is my first post:

I'm glad to see that someone does care about the un dumped games of the jaguar.

I hope that for it's preservation's sake, one day those titles will be properly dumped in order to be available to our future generations via the use of emulators.

In the meantime, great work, all of you.

Well, I have had confirmation that the 2 leader jag game producters (songbird and telegames) will dump their jaguar games rather than see them disappear (carl forhan and the telegames boss said so) so no worries for about half the list's titles.

The space war prototype has been dumped and I can give you this dump so you can judge if it is good.

The remaining ones we have to preserve are battlesphere/battlesphere gold (those will be very hard as they are very expensive and very rare) and aircars.

Aircars will not be a problem even Battlesphere, but the problem is dumping these cart, because I do not think that my friend will agree with shipping these cart anywhere. I spent a lot of time talking over to just lent the cart to me.

There will not be any progres till I will find the way how to dump the cart. One is by eprom reader but not all cart can be done by this way. And secound it seems by some development stuff which I do not own for now. And It seems non of the people who might know anything about dumping cart are in the scene. Everyone gone.

Hmm. Developper stuff, eh? That's interesting.

What exactly is needed? Besides, I know someone on atari-forum called greenious that could be of help to you regarding this.

Thanks for showing interest on this anyway.

P.S: might you also know someone who could dump zero 5? After aircars and the 2 battlespheres (normal and gold) this is probably one of the rarest carts to dump.

I am not exactly sure but it should do the dev jag with the connection cart to PC/Falcon. Or moded jag with the cart or something that.

Anyway this games also have to be add to undump list:
Arena Football 95
Thea Realm Fighters

And American Hero is CD.
Gorf 2000 is dumped
Phaze Zero is dumped (released as rom/cart)

Sorry my bad. It is not dumped and probably the game was not finish yet.

Anyway I was looking at the Jaguar dat and play with emulators and etc. and I have a few thing to say.
There is no reason to store the Bios roms with .j64 extension as its something different then the cart data.
For me there is no Cybermorph 1 Meg version as the one which is dumped is the first one (1993) and it already have 1,6 in zip (2 Meg cart) and I doubt that they optimise the code to shrink it to 1 Meg. And as I have both of them (1993 and 1994) and they are on same type of PCB then I would say there are 2 revision or 2 and 4 Meg version.
And it seem to me that there are some bad dumps/file format already in the dat, but I have to double check them later on.
More coming in next weeks.

Perhaps Mr. Atari (http://www.mr-atari.com) knows something more about this.
I've met him a couple of times now and a good friend of mine (RL friend) knows him personally. I could try contacting him.
I hope it pays of more than contacting the Guru, since I still don't have a (2nd) reply from him

BTW, Phase Zero is a demo game that Mr. Atari has on cart, so it should be added to the list.

It is shame that I miss the Eurocon. Anyway yes Phaze Zero is on a cart but it depends how you look at it. The autor never made any cartridge he release it as a rom and now a few think what about to buy an old pack of cybermorph cart and made a few PZ and other and made a few bucks to sell them on ebay ;) .

You didn't miss that much, it was very small. I did some nice purchases, though. Check the misc. forum for that ;)

Thanks about the info for Phase Zero. You're right, it shouldn't be datted.

The Developers of Battlesphere, Gorf and Frog Feast are fully aware of this post and that was said here and they well take legal action!
Oh, one more thing the Jaguar Community knows about this place now!

Hello, I'm the Administrator of this site.

Our community members share the hash/headers infos, so what? Nothing illegal here. I dare you to find any law prohibiting to share these infos. If I buy a new car, I can't post its specs somewhere?

We're not a warez nor even a rom site. ROM requests are not allowed, warez is prohibited and punished by warnings and ban.

So what exactly do you blame us for?

I expect a decent reply within 24 hours. Past this delay without a reply, your IP will be banned and published.

you guys don't get a thing through your miserable excuses for brains, do you. Once apon a time there was a very rare 32X sega console game called darxide. Since it was planned as being the bundle game to release with their neptune prototype (a console with a 32X hardware, no add-ons) before it was scrapped, we were lucky to see it released at all. Copies for darxide are even more expensive then the battlesphere carts as auctions can go up to $1000, yet a dump was made: And would you honestly say it was a bad idea? Yes the dump was made, but those who seek the cartrage still do with passion. Also, the rom serves as an unbreakable format which is perfect for the game's preservation. If more persons would simply come to their senses and do this, I wouldn't even be required to waste my years in hunting old DOS registered games that are no more than a mith now because their goddam creators were so intend on evading "piracy" that they simply sacrificed the game.

Unfortunately, it seems obtuse people still prevail, no matter what.

Agreed Starfold.

Besides, what these Collectors don't get is presevation is not piracy. In this community we do not allow the share of ROM images of games which are actively sold and/or which are not older than 3 years. A game rarely stay in stores more than three years. That way we do not harm developers and we preserve the older softwares for future generations. I wish they would understand this noble purpose, if they are ever to see beyond their precious little "collection".

The same with arcade boards. If it's dumped, it costs less. WTF?

I mean, when someone dumps a game, he only copies the contents of chips. Unsealed copy of the game with manual and on original media might still cost a fortune. Most of the rare stuff is shit anyway or available on different platforms. Collectors don't buy rare games for 100 bucks just to play them.

Take a look at bubble system discussion at MAMEWorld. These games are valued at $2500, but they were re-released on different hardware and you can play them in MAME. Since there are not many copies left in the world, they're way too pricey, but the contents of chips actually have very little value, because everybody has already seen the game and played it. If someone buys and dumps them, they will still have the same value.

If I buy a painting of a famous artist on an auction and make a reproduction of it and then sell the original painting, it will still have the same value.

Exactly. These video game collectors are weird people. Would be the same as if a stamp collector complained of pics of his stamps being available in the internet. Or a rare book loosing it's value because the content is available for free in some online-catalogue etc. (Oh you found THE holy bible? It's not worth anything because I can read it from some pdf I found on emule) DVDs + VHS don't appear to suffer from copys just as well as CD/DVD-based games. But roms are pure evil !

I have once dumped the calephar game prototype for the amiga (go to the english amiga board) then the disk was sent to SPS (software preservation society). Is that so wrong? If it hadn't been dumped, the game would have been forgotten. It deserved better even if it didn't see commercialisation. Also, while the jag carts are indeed considered inalterable, the jaguar are complex machines demanding maintenance. And since they are not made anymore, one day will come when we will still have the carts without the possibility to read them. Won't we be merry felloes then? Also, for the last time, as I get tired of those fools getting the wrong idea (read slowly so you can understand everything): I DON'T WANT TO DOWNLOAD THE BATTLESPHERE OR BATTLESPHERE GOLD ROM OR ANY OTHER JAG ROM BY THE SAME OCCASION. I don't care for those roms at a personal level, Simply it would be good to at some point, in 10,15,20,heck even 50 years later, release your product as a rom to preserve it. That's final!

P.S: thanks to the community to prove I'm not just plain insane and that others can also have my point of view on this.
