Wii Nintendo - Wii (Digital) (WAD)

Post by CaptainHIT » 09 Apr 2019 00:33

Is there a reason why the DLC's got the "DLC" removed from the filename? Now clrmamepro will add "_0" either to the game or DLC. Can't we just add the DLC tag back into the filename please?

Also the new dat file asks for:
The Last Blade 2 (Europe) (NG) [folder: The Last Blade 2 (Europe) (NG) - size: 45mb]
missing set: The Last Blade 2 (Europe) (NG)
missing rom: The Last Blade 2 (Europe) (NG).wad [size: 46981632] [CRC32: f816f525] [MD5: 20821e7e233f3b44f4b7da3f2fe70901] [SHA1: ad56d6e0502bc412180e12256e70a1dcee29549f]

But there already is: Last Blade 2, The (Europe) (NG) (Virtual Console).wad with CRC32: 5F4B831D in the archive.

Which one is the correct one? If really needed, shouldn't be "The Last Blade 2 (Europe) (NG).wad" renamed to "Last Blade 2, The (Europe) (NG) (Virtual Console).wad" with "The" after a comma and "(Virtual Console)" added to the filename?

The same goes for "The Legend of Zelda (Korea) (En,Ko) (NES).wad", which should be renamed to "Legend of Zelda, The (Korea) (En,Ko) (NES).wad" instead. And do all Korean games really need the (En,Ko) or (Ja,Ko) tag in the filename? I'm asking because no other language tags like that are used at all on other games. Games from Germany, France, Italy, Spain just have the country name added.

Another one:

Super Mario Bros (Japan) (NES) [folder: Super Mario Bros (Japan) (NES) - size: 12mb]
missing set: Super Mario Bros (Japan) (NES)
missing rom: Super Mario Bros (Japan) (NES).wad [size: 12099648] [CRC32: be376fb5] [MD5: 96e57016a34a437770decfea2cec25d7] [SHA1: a1178d60fbe8d1bad8ff2f38bb434b7d33757edd]

Already in the archive: Super Mario Bros. (Japan) (NES) (Virtual Console).wad [size: 12099648] [CRC32: 64D5F94D]

This one has again "(Virtual Console)" missing in the name like "The Last Blade 2 (Europe) (NG).wad".

wads with missing (Virtual Console) tag in their filename:

R-Type III - The Third Lightning (Korea) (Ja,Ko) (NES)
Super Mario Bros. (Korea) (Ja,Ko) (NES).wad
Super Mario Bros. 3 (Korea) (Ja,Ko) (NES)

Star Fox 64 (Korea) (En,Ko) (N64)

Shanghai (Japan) (Arcade)
Wonder Boy in Monster Land (Europe) (Arcade)

SNES Virtual Console wads wchich were mistakenly named with a NES tag instead in the filename:

R-Type III - The Third Lightning (Korea) (Ja,Ko) (NES)
Super Mario World (Korea) (En,Ko) (NES)
Super Mario World (Korea) (Ja,Ko) (NES)
Super Metroid (Korea) (En,Ko) (NES)
Super R-Type (Korea) (En,Ko) (NES)

I hope this will help to rename most of the wads.

All of them should be fixed now. I found why many of the WADs I had were datted, by the way. Some scene released WADs I have seemed to have a bad key.

I've downloaded the latest dat, there are still many WiiWare with DLC which get a "_0" at the end.

I'll add a detailed list soon. But before that, I'm curious about these two games:

Dragon Slayer: Eiyū Densetsu (Dragon Slayer: The Legend of Heroes) and Dragon Slayer: Eiyū Densetsu II (Dragon Slayer: The Legend of Heroes II).

In the latest dat, Dragon Slayer - Legend of Heroes, The (Japan) (SMD) (Virtual Console).wad (which in fact is Dragon Slayer: Eiyū Densetsu II (Dragon Slayer: The Legend of Heroes II) is put into the "_unknown" folder of clrmamepro. I've tested the wad with dolphin and it works perfect. So it shouldn't be a problem of a bad dump or something else, I guess. Maybe it was a mistake?

Game info:
Dragon Slayer - Legend of Heroes, The (Japan) (SMD) (Virtual Console).wad
Size: 13.808.832 bytes
CRC32: 27C304E6
MD5: ba97b99189eb89b2b30ffdfc5f691c56
SHA1: 6d91943e97c6181e2d2eba08041be76250d3ead2

Edit:

These files have the "_0" added to their filenames (either game or DLC):

Dr. Mario & Germ Buster (Europe) (WiiWare)_0
Family Card Games (Europe) (WiiWare)_0
Family Pirate Party (Europe) (WiiWare)_0
Mix Superstar (Europe) (WiiWare)_0
My Aquarium 2 (Europe) (WiiWare)_0
Osu! Exercise Doujou (Japan) (WiiWare)_0
Phoenix Wright - Ace Attorney (France) (WiiWare)_0
Phoenix Wright - Ace Attorney (Italy) (WiiWare)_0
Phoenix Wright - Ace Attorney (Spain) (WiiWare)_0
TNT Racers (Europe) (WiiWare)_0

Did you check for the file? Is it still in your archive then?

Edit:

Ok, all "_0" added files are renamed properly now. I was using an earlier dat, the newest one fixed this problem.

But,
Dragon Slayer - Legend of Heroes, The (Japan) (SMD) (Virtual Console) "still"
Family Card Games (Europe) (WiiWare) (DLC).wad
Family Pirate Party (Europe) (WiiWare) (DLC).wad
Mix Superstar (Europe) (WiiWare).wad (size: 339.257.216)
My Aquarium 2 (Europe) (WiiWare) (DLC).wad
TNT Racers (Europe) (WiiWare) (DLC).wad (size: 11.016.704)
are now all in the unknown folder. Are they scene/bad dumps?

I think Larsenv edited many releases with bad tickets, replacing them with redumps. That data is still online on DOM (log= EDIT SOURCE/RELEASE).
I think he also added some dumps that he later decided for some reason to remove. That data is no more online, it's in the trash bin (log= DELETE ARCHIVE).

Ok, thanks for information. Keep up the good work! I'll report bugs when I find some. :sdrop:
