He also confirmed a supposed PRG1 of Nintendo World Cup to be actually PRG2 coming from a rev B cart (cart was opened so there is no doubt about the PRG-version). I knew before this rev B existed as some guy on 64dd.net posted his collection and it was among his games. So I asked Kaiser to check his cart. Unfortunately we are missing revision A for sure (PRG1) and these interims-versions are often hard to find but better to know than having a misnamed dump forever, right?

If I take a copy of NES Galaxian (Japan) which was recognized by ClrMamePro as valid with the dats from last year, and now run it through ClrMamePro with either of the last couple released dats, CMP will offer to "resize" the rom. If I tell it that it may do such a thing, it will then resize the rom in such a way that the rom is now unplayable. The original rom works in many emulators, but the resized rom works in none.

How would one go about repairing such an altered rom? Is there a better way to resize, if I still have the original rom?

The original ROM is overdumped but the ines format can't handle the correct 8 Mbit PRG size so it won't work. We need a better way to handle NES games.

I have downloaded the nes dat on datomatic more times with different program but the zip is corrupted (NOT the zip in this topic).

And the archive from the DoM-page is around 4KiB bigger than the file from this thread's attachment, if that's any indicator. (binary -> ascii maybe?).

The files within the archive are fine.

What I found was that if you use WinZip, no errors are reported. If you use WinRAR, it reports a corrupt archive. However, the files will still extract and the CRCs/hash do match those if extracted using WinZip.
